Gatineau Park is filled with some amazing trails and lookouts. I know, this destination is not in Ontario but if you love to hike and are in Ottawa then this is a fantastic place to go! One of the more popular and easier areas is the Mackenzie King Estate.
We particularly enjoy hiking to the waterfall. Its a great trail with some amazing views (see picture).
In the Estate grounds there are also some Abbey ruins which are very cool to check out and of course the estate itself.
When we are done hiking in Gatineau Park we love to stop by Chelsea Pub for some amazing food and refreshments. Look forward to more post about Chelsea in general, a great town for adventures.
